Originally from Ohio, I stayed in the Midwest for college before spending over a dozen formative years in Brooklyn. Now, I’ve settled in the Catskills with my wife and son. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats — barista, teacher, nanny, and editor, to name a few — and worked at places like The New York Times, Penguin Books, New York Public Radio, Twitter, and Uber. My writing has taken many forms, including essays, short stories, poems, a memoir, and a play. These days, I work as a product manager at Google and continue to untie the knots in my brain by writing whenever I can.
