Originally from Ohio, I stayed in the Midwest for college before spending over a dozen formative years in Brooklyn. Now, I’ve settled in the Catskills with my wife and son. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats — barista, teacher, nanny, and editor, to name a few — and worked at places like The New York Times, Penguin Books, New York Public Radio, Twitter, Uber, and Google. My writing has taken many forms, including essays, short stories, poems, and plays. These days, I work as a product manager at Google and continue to untie the knots in my brain by writing whenever I can.
